Nala The Blue Heeler

G&S Dog Training has been an absolute life saver. Our dog Nala struggled adjusting to apartment life in the city. She is a blue heeler (cattle dog) and was used to big yards and few neighbors in the midwest. Shortly after moving to NoVa, she started to become very reactive on leash, which overtime progressed into aggression both on and off leash towards other dogs and humans.

She was overly protective when others approached us including barking, growling, showing her teeth, and lunging towards others. After an incident with another dog, we knew something had to be done before she hurt herself, another dog, or person. We were referred to G&S through our friends who praised their work and told us they would be perfect for our situation. We were very apprehensive and doubtful any training would be successful. To our surprise,  the training program surpassed our expectations, and Nala came out of it the most well behaved and happiest she’s ever been. We were worried her spunky personality would be gone after training, but that has been far from the truth. While we know her reactivity and anxiety may never go away fully, we can now go on walks and not have to stress and worry about running into another dog outside or in our building. We are truly grateful for G&S and cannot imagine where we would be without them.
